Dane is an award winning athlete with Autism.
Dane wants others living with Autism and a mental health condition to see that a “great life” can be achieved.
Dane will be running an averageof 40-55km a day with one rest day
on Friday, in between his trip he will be stopping at nearby towns, so stay tuned to find out his location near you!
Dane comes from Pambula on the New South Wales South Coast and is well known by his local community as a man with a positive attitude and relentless perseverance. He always has a smile
on his face!

This is just a small glimpse of the man we know as Dane. For the past 14 years he has been running up to 50km a day as he prepares to undertake the biggest challenge of his life.
Dane now needs your support to help his dreams come true.
Dane has come a long way since being diagnosed with Classic Autism. Against all odds he has learnt to talk, recognise emotions and make lifelong friendships. He has competed in the Special Olympics in Dublin, bringing home a bronze medal for Australia. Dane also has a book written about his life. Dane has spent the past 14 years preparing to undertake his
next challenge – running more than 4000+ km.
With more than 115,000 Australians on the autism spectrum, Dane is determined to raise the much-needed funds for medical research, awareness and support services for other Australian's on the autism spectrum.
Dane has decided to create this ultra marathon from Perth2Pambula to raise money and awareness for mental health, as Dane's autism and mental health are intertwined. Dane has the support of his beautiful mother, loving friends and close-knit community. Now he needs the rest of Australia to get behind him and turn this journey into a reality.
